Erectile dysfunction (ED) is characterized by the inability to acquire or maintain an erection during sexual activity.
The cause of ED can be either physical or psychological. Physical causes include Cardiovascular disease, Diabetes, nerve damage, side effects from drugs, and surgery.
Conventional treatment for physical causes involve pharmaceutical drugs, implants, surgery, and lifestyle modification to address the underlying issue (i.e. diabetes, CVD, etc).
